Spring Development Program

This spring, take your game to the next level with the Okanagan Hockey Ontario Spring Development Program — a high-performance, 10-week training experience built for motivated players who want to elevate their skills, confidence, and hockey IQ in a structured, professional environment.

Our program is designed to reinforce strong habits that translate directly into game performance. Athletes train in position-specific environments that mirror real-game responsibilities, ensuring every skill learned on the ice shows up when it matters most.

Program Overview

Our 10-Week Development Program focuses on age-appropriate technical development while pushing players to compete, think, and execute at a higher level.

Athletes receive professional instruction tailored specifically to forwards and defense, with focused development in:

  • Skating mechanics & edge control
  • Puck handling & control under pressure
  • Passing accuracy & puck support
  • Shooting technique & scoring habits
  • Small-area decision making
  • Hockey IQ within position-specific scenarios

Every session is designed to replicate real-game situations so players develop instincts, confidence, and execution speed.

Beyond skill development, we emphasize:

  • Teamwork
  • Communication
  • Discipline
  • Accountability
  • Compete level

Coaches provide individualized feedback so each athlete progresses at their own pace while being pushed to reach their full potential.
