That’s a Wrap on 25-26!

This time of year is always a bittersweet one.

With the conclusion of the 2026 Eastern Championships this past weekend, the CSSHL season has officially come to a close for our U17 Prep and U18 Prep teams. While the final buzzer marks the end of the season, it also gives us a moment to reflect, and more importantly, to recognize just how proud we are of every single one of our student-athletes.

At Okanagan Hockey Ontario, our focus has always gone far beyond wins and standings. We are committed to the long-term development of young athletes, on the ice, in the classroom, and in life. No matter the outcome, this year has been a tremendous success in all the ways that truly matter.

We’ve watched our athletes grow not only in their game, but as individuals. Their dedication to their academics, their commitment to their teammates, and especially their involvement in the community have been nothing short of inspiring. The positive impact they’ve made off the ice this year speaks volumes about their character. They are not only talented hockey players, but exceptional young men, and they should be incredibly proud of that.

To our staff, coaches, parents, and billets, thank you. Your support, guidance, and belief in our program make everything we do possible. It truly takes a village, and we are so grateful to have such a strong one behind us.

While the regular season may be over, the OHO journey is far from finished. As a 10-month academy, our season continues for another three months. This is where the real work begins, the time for preparation, development, and continued growth. On and off the ice, our athletes will keep building, refining, and pushing forward to become even better for next season.

And just as importantly, this is a time to stay focused in the classroom and finish the academic year strong.

To our athletes: keep going. Stay committed. Embrace the process.

Your Okanagan Hockey Ontario family is proud of you.
