Owen Matthews brings a strong combination of leadership, discipline, and hockey knowledge to the OHO U18 program, where he has served as an assistant coach since 2022. A former player with the Central Ontario Wolves AAA and the Port Perry Mojacks (CJPHL), Owen began his coaching career with the North Durham Warriors and later led the Varsity Boys Hockey Team at Port Perry High School as Head Coach.
In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Owen serves as a firefighter with the Oshawa Fire Department. A 2020 graduate of Durham College, he uses his background in emergency services to model accountability, resilience, and mentorship for OHO student-athletes both on and off the ice.
